McGill Residence Meal Plan
The Mandatory Meal Plan applies to all students in undergraduate residences (except Solin Hall and MORE Houses) and it is assigned in conjunction with the building assignment. The McGill Mandatory Meal Plan is a declining balance plan which means that funds are deducted from your account each time you purchase food on campus. It is a tax-exempt plan and can be used in more than 20 different food locations on both McGill campuses.
How Does the McGill Meal Plan Work?
McGill University offers a variety of meal plan options to fit the needs of every student. Whether you're living on campus or off, there's a meal plan that's right for you. McGill Meal Plans are mandatory for all first-year students living in residence, and they are optional for upper-year students. The McGill Meal Plan is an all-you-care-to-eat dining program that gives students access to McGill Dining Halls. There are three different meal plan options to choose from: the Basic Plan, the Plus Plan, and the Premium Plan. The Basic Plan gives students access to McGill Dining Halls during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Plus Plan adds $100 worth of Dining Dollars that can be used at any McGill food service location.
